How do I add a podcast to Radio thmanyah?

We are building the "Radio thmanyah" library to be as rich as possible, and we add podcast programs by indexing direct podcast links "RSS"; so you can find any program quickly and easily, and the app becomes your main station for all audio content. If you do not find the program you are looking for, it has not been indexed in our library yet or its official source has not provided a direct "RSS" link for it.

You can manually add a podcast to the program library in the Radio thmanyah app, in two ways:

1. Search for the podcast name directly within the app.
2. Add it manually via the direct podcast link "RSS".

#First Method: Adding the Podcast Through Search

This is the easiest method, and we always recommend it first.

1. Open the Radio thmanyah app.
2. Tap the "🔍" icon in the bottom menu.
3. Type the podcast name.
4. Select the podcast from the search results.
5. Tap Follow.

The podcast will then appear in My Library, and you can easily return to it at any time.

#Second Method: Adding the Direct Podcast Link "RSS"

If the podcast does not appear in the search results, you can add it manually using the direct RSS podcast link.

1. Search for the podcast in one of the specialized databases such as the site: "https://podcastindex.org/".
2. Copy the podcast's RSS link.
3. Open the Radio thmanyah app.
4. Tap the "🔍" icon in the bottom menu.
5. Tap the "+" icon on the left of the search field.
6. Paste the link in the designated area.
7. Complete the addition by tapping "Continue".

The "RSS" link is a unique link specific to the podcast, which helps any app recognize the podcast. If you add this link to Radio thmanyah, the podcast and its episodes will be displayed to you within the app.

If Radio thmanyah does not recognize the "RSS" link or the podcast addition fails, contact the "Ask thmanyah" team.

3. Is the podcast I add manually via the direct podcast link "RSS" private to me only?
The podcast appears in your program library and you can share it from within the app with any other app user. Adding the podcast does not necessarily mean it will appear in search results for other users.

4. Can I share a podcast in the Radio thmanyah app via a link?
Yes, you can share any podcast in Radio thmanyah with others "even those you have added manually" by tapping the "" icon next to the "Follow" button at the top of the podcast page. Once you share it, if the person clicks on it and they have the Radio thmanyah app, they will be able to open the podcast page within the app and follow it.

5. What is an "OPML" file?
It is a file exported from other podcast apps, containing a list of podcasts you follow in another app, and it can be used to import them into Radio thmanyah all at once.

6. When should I use an "OPML" file in the import process?
You can use it if you want to transfer more than one podcast at once from another app to Radio thmanyah instead of adding them one by one.

7. Does my library update automatically if I change something in "Apple Podcasts" after import?
No, changes you make in "Apple Podcasts" after import do not automatically transfer to Radio thmanyah, as direct synchronization between the two apps is not currently supported. For example, if you unfollow some programs in Apple Podcasts, they will not be unfollowed automatically in Radio thmanyah.

8. Why do podcasts that do not represent thmanyah appear in "Radio thmanyah"?
The "Radio thmanyah" library relies on the automatic addition of podcasts by indexing "RSS" feeds to be rich and cover as many programs as possible. This means the library may include programs from different entities that do not represent thmanyah. We review and block offensive or inappropriate content as much as possible, but your reports to the "Ask thmanyah" team help us reach them faster. If you encounter an inappropriate program, report it and we will review the report and take the necessary action.
