thmanyah satellite channels are free-to-air channels that broadcast Saudi tournaments, including the Saudi Super Cup, Saudi Roshn League, King’s Cup, and First Division League, through Arabsat satellites. These channels appear under the names: thmanyah 1, thmanyah 2, and thmanyah 3.

1. How many channels are there, and is there any difference between them?
thmanyah currently broadcasts across three channels: thmanyah.1, thmanyah.2, and thmanyah.3. This allows us to broadcast multiple matches when they take place at the same time. All channels broadcast at the same quality, with no technical difference between them, even if some appear with an HD label in the channel list on certain receivers.

2. Are thmanyah channels available on Nilesat?
No. Starting in August 2026, thmanyah’s satellite channels are available exclusively on «Arabsat Badr-8». All matches are also available through the «thmanyah app».

3. Why did thmanyah move exclusively to Arabsat?
We have adopted «Arabsat Badr-8» as the primary satellite for broadcasting «thmanyah» channels going forward, as part of our plan to consolidate our satellite broadcasting on a single satellite.

4. Are all thmanyah channels free-to-air?
Yes. All channels are free-to-air and do not require a subscription or a decryption card.

5. I’m within the satellite coverage area, but the channels aren’t showing. What should I do?
1. Make sure you have selected the correct satellite, «Arabsat», and that your dish is pointed at 26° East.
2. Make sure the frequency, polarization, and symbol rate are entered correctly. Then run a new manual channel scan.
3. If your receiver supports «Network Search», enable it, or try a «Blind Scan».
4. If the issue continues, contact a satellite receiver technician.

6. Does the satellite coverage area mean sports streaming is available in the same countries through the app?
No. Satellite signal coverage is different from the geographic availability of streaming rights within the app. Sports streaming on the «thmanyah app» is subject to the list of supported countries mentioned at the beginning of this article.

7. Do I need a specific receiver to watch thmanyah satellite channels?
You can add the channel frequencies to any satellite receiver that is not tied to a specific TV provider or subscription package. If you add the channels and they stop working after some time, delete them and add them again using the same frequencies.

8. Why does one channel show an HD label while another does not?
All thmanyah channels are broadcast in high definition «HD». However, whether an «HD» or «SD» label appears next to a channel name depends on your receiver and is not part of the graphics or channel branding transmitted by us. So, if a thmanyah channel appears under a different name or without the HD label, this does not necessarily mean its broadcast quality is lower than the other channels.

9. Is the streaming quality on the thmanyah app better than on the satellite channels?
Yes. For subscribers, the «thmanyah app» provides a better viewing experience, with higher streaming quality and more advanced playback controls compared with satellite broadcasting, which is closer to the experience available to a «non-subscribed» user on the app.
